Adelaide Oval (Southern, Eastern Stands) - 16,900m2
Big Tall White Shed at ASC - 15,600m2
Festival Plaza (East of Station Rd) - 13,800m2
Myer Centre - 11,300m2
Central Market Arcade - 8,300m2
Harris Scarfe - 7,200m2
Southern Cross - 4,600m2

This is just based upon the visible building footprint in the Google Maps imagery. It could easily be out by hundreds (or thousands of m2)

Is it just me or is the Grote Street frontage taking a while to demolish?

Walking past last night, it looks like they're doing soil remediation in the southeast corner due to asbestos. Yellow caution tape that may or may not say asbestos on it (dark, didn't have time to stop and take a proper look as I was running late and it was raining). So they're probably remediating that before continuing into other areas so they have progressively clean areas to work from.

Until I looked at some old Google Streetview, I had forgotten that the Arcade's street frontages had that brassy metallic cladding rather than white. It was like that until about 2018.

From tonight. A trench has been dug out behind the courts.

I walked past this morning and the diggers are out in force. I don't think much will be left of it by this arvo.

As at midday, it's gone.
