I only caught a brief glimpse last night, but I think the crane for Uno apartments is going up too. If anyone is in the city today, could you please clarify.

Yep it's up today pretty high but not the "boom" part prob too hot.

The crane at the SAHMRI site makes a huge impact on that part of the city.

You can easily see it driving up West Terrace, got quite a shock last night.

The second crane on CC8 should go up soon as well, after that I don't think there's any
more to go up.

I would think there will be a second at the medical research site. There is an area on the NW corner that looks like a base.

Nah mate, that's pier work. There'll be just one crane for this site.

The boom on site now is very lon, and more than covers the entire site.

All very encouraging guys. The city is showing strong evidence of climbing out of the morass of the GFC.SA economoy doing muvh better than up here in QLD - facing another huge cyclone. Some of the water may end up in Lake Eyre again!.

I'm not trying to be all like "who's city is better" like most SSC forums but I was just wondering, how many cranes do the other CBD's have compared to Adelaide at the moment?

I'm led to believe that we currently have more cranes in our CBD than Brisbane CBD at the moment, but that Brisbane has more if you include projects going on in suburbia.

Melbourne has a lot, they're everywhere, left, right and centre. I'd say 30 or so.

^ I doubt it, i was recently was over in Melbourne and in the city i didnt see very many, probably 8 or 10. Like you say, there are probably a lot more in the burbs, could be 30, i've got no idea because i always avoid Melbourne's suburbs. Was also in Sydney too, there were at least 16 that i counted in the city, and there's usually lots out in the burbs at the other cities like North Sydney, Paramatta, Chatswood etc. Could easilly be at least 40-60 cranes in the Sydney metro area. No idea about Brisbane or Perth..
