Why not? More like Adelaide than you might imagine. Like a 200m high concrete western wall for starters?

That's alot of blank wall. Credit to 115KW for attempting to break up the blank walls.

That Melbourne example isn't THAT much better. It has a nice glass wall while this building's comparable northern and southern walls are quite mediocre (could they seriously not put more windows on those walls), but I prefer the "thin" eastern and western walls on this one, which make up for those average walls. The Melbourne one actually reminds me of the proposed 203 North Terrace dressed up with more glass, which I don't particularly like.
Anyway, here's a picture from the north from Wednesday afternoon. I love Adelaide's streetscape when it's overcast, and I also really love the Bank SA building in front. We're lucky to have it. It's probably my favourite heritage building in Adelaide at the moment (my opinion changes over time).

Hadn't really followed this one too closely, but pleased to see there are at least some windows on the side walls. It was my impression there weren't going to be any. Even though they are too few, they compliment the style of the wall pretty well and this has turned out rather well.
Agree that the Bank SA building is lovely. I'm showing my age a bit, but this is fairly close to my old favourite which was the Bowman Arcade. I don't normally get sentimental about old bulldozed buildings, but its a bit hard not to considering the derelict thing that is there now.

Heh, the difference is that in Melbourne that blank wall is more likely to be blocked out by another tall building next door sooner rather than later, whereas in Adelaide it's more likely to remain a feature on the skyline for a long time before anyone even comes up with a "vision" for the site next to that blank wall let alone an actual proposal being submitted.

Work is progressing on level 21, with the sidewalls in place. As the building grows it is getting harder to fit it all in one picture.

Great angle... I edited the photo to create an impression of the complete building's final height.

Is this one 1 level below ground, 1 ground level and 24 levels above ground floor?
Their facebook and Dash architects facebook are referring to this as a 24 level building.

I believe it is 27 levels. Ground plus 26.

27 levels would make this 94-96m? Or does the 90m take the extra storey into account.

This photo to me just shows how much bare walls are in our skyline, and how a bit of glass Goes a massive way to making it look more modern
