That's definitely its good angle. But if they go all in with the same window placement as the south side, that'll be a boilover

Some photos from this morning.
Whilst it still looks pretty crap in general, this building looks significantly better on sunny days when there are some shadows created by the fins (or currently the crane and fixing points for the fins strapped to the front of it). The one saving grace is the consistency of the colouring of the precast panels - they're pretty spot on unlike some other recent developments like Dwell and the Atira building on Waymouth which have been all over the shop finish-wise.
As has been mentioned before, my hope is that we eventually get another couple of tallies in close proximity which will reduce the impact this has on the skyline and relegate it to somewhere in the 'crap but largely inoffensive' bucket.

I refuse to believe people actually like this

The most charitable thing you can say about it is that the Schulz building is no longer the ugliest building along North Terrace.

Well you'll be surprised to know that most people like this building. The colours suit the surroundings and it gives North Terrace some decent height. The original renders make it look horrible but now it is being built, it looks great!

Yep I agree.
The original renders were horrid to say the least.
This is definitely a case of reality better than render.
I’m bucking trend and I like it too!

Granted, it does look better than the renders - but the renders looked like they had been put together in Windows Paint so that's not entirely surprising.
My biggest problem with this building is it looks very obviously cheap. And it's big. So it's a big, cheap looking building on our supposed cultural boulevard which for the foreseeable future will stick out like a sore thumb because there's nothing else tall around it. Hopefully that last part will change over time but its still a meh from me.

Here’s a couple of absolutely terrible photos of the new signage going on this morning:

This building does look cheap as with the tiny windows, but it does look a lot better than the renders indicated it would.

Its not that it looks cheap, it's just such an uninspired design.
Its best viewing angle...from a great distance
