I think AAMI stadium is second rate etc like most other people in this thread.
But what REALLY annoys me is that you cannot even buy a beer and sit down in your seat to drink it, like you can in pretty well every other stadium, including the Adelaide oval. It feels like being treated as cattle, as the guards make sure that you do not take a plastic cup of drink past the white line. Ridiculous!
The sad truth is that AAMI will be all that we have for some time to come. Local football at the Adelaide oval seems much better than watching AFL at the West Lakes, just because the venue at AAMI is so decrepid.
[DEF] AAMI Stadium Upgrade | $100m | 52,000

Don't call ME the stubborn one; if every cent that they earn at AAMI goes to them, what difference will it make if their stadium is in the city, other than the fact that they will most definitely get a larger income in the city? See, maybe it IS the SANFL being stubborn when nearly everyone else is screaming out for an Inner-City Stadium with more atmosphere than at West Lakes.
Okay, there's the fact that Adelaide United will play there in the off-season, but how does that affect them if they aren't using it at that time? Maybe they get upset because the scent of the support of an International Sport will be going throughout their stadium come the pre-season. [/quote]
Oh for chirst's sake,
If a new stadium is built in the city the SANFL will not have 100% ownership like they do now.
Also, two new team will join the A leauge next season with two more in in the next couple of years so the seasons will overlap. How do believe we will deal with that?
Adelaide United is lucky they have a stadium that they only use, just look at Queensland Roar's problems for example.

A-League can be played mid-week, AFL can be played as usual on weekends.Cruise wrote: Also, two new teams will join the A-League next season with two more in in the next couple of years so the seasons will overlap. How do you believe we will deal with that?
