I like them. I think it makes the building seem crisper.noted wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 1:18 pmThe front of the building looks great, but is any one else not such a fan of the white panels they are using on the north and western sides? (Possibly the eastern side too, haven't really had a chance to view it form that vantage point yet).
Hopefully more of a pattern will emerge the higher it gets, but at this stage I can't see one, and I don't think the colour combination works very well.

The facade on the sofitel is probably one of the better looking ones

On Eastern side as well, they cover the car park section of those floors. Personally I like them, including the randomness (and to be honest, even more so than the front facade on Curry Street).noted wrote:The front of the building looks great, but is any one else not such a fan of the white panels they are using on the north and western sides? Another wrinkle is that according to the renders some of the window panels in that section are lit green at night. The renders look good, but that could turn out quite tacky as well....

Agree. Stunning pics that really contextualise this building and how it will take its (prominent) place in the city once finished.

Nice pics, especially your last one...that shows the rear of Wingfold Tower and the student accommodation at 124 Waymouth Street.

Sofitel and Wingfold are starting to look very prominent from the Morphett Street bridge...
