Isn't it too small for Zara?

It's okay looking, though I dislike the top part..

If Zara was taking it, why would it still be up for lease on realcommercial.com.au?

UP TO eight major national and international retailers are tipped to be announced for Rundle Mall by Christmas, as management holds talks with more than 30 retailers.

Rundle Mall Management Authority general manager Martin Haese told the City Messenger that this December, he hoped to reveal the names of a “small number” of national and international retailers who would move into the mall next year.

On the eve of the October 4 release of the Rundle Mall Master Plan, Mr Haese said shoppers could expect to see significant changes to the mall within six months.

He also revealed:
An international retailer new to South Australia would move into a two-level premises currently being built and open in early 2012;
Australian fashion retailer General Pants Co would move into the former Mathers premises next month; and
A national retailer new to South Australia would be secured for the former Colorado premises within a month and open in early 2012

Mr Haese said the new international retailers would create a “tremendous snowball” of other big-name tenants wanting to move into the mall.

“We do believe that upon securing one or two notable retailers, more will follow,” Mr Haese said.

“Having an attractive place to shop with good amenities is of equal importance to having a retail mix which motivates consumers to come here.”

Rundle Mall Management Authority chairman Theo Maras said the authority hoped to secure seven or eight major national and international retailers before Christmas.

He said the board was in discussions with more than 30 national and international retailers, including Apple.

“Our biggest thrust in the mall is to make it unique in its offerings,” Mr Maras said.

“We can’t be the same as Marion, Tea Tree Plaza and other places so we’re out there, soliciting national and international retailers that will be exclusive to the mall.”

Is it 15-17 Rundle Mall? If so, I have this feeling it'll be an Apple Store. There's been some consolidation of sites there, and now a 3 story development. We know they're looking for a large frontage and this is the ideal site.

I'm not one to speculate, but the pieces fit together...

Thoughts? Any chance of getting a hold of some plans?

Possibly, but there's a few ratty shop around that spot of the mall, which I would think Apple would want to avoid being near.

Those ratty shops (eg ICE and some health food shop) have since closed down, and I believe they are located at 15-17 Rundle Mall

Anyone know what's going where Cafe Primo use to be on the corner of Rundle and East Tce? It seems it's finally leased after a long vacancy.

No indication of what is going in, but there's been a fair bit of work inside the last couple of weeks. Not sure if they're doing a new fit out, or just gutting it.
