I know Altitude is not yet finished but they would sure want to put some decent finishes on it between now and its completion. I believe it looks incredibly ugly. Almost like the architect woke up from a prison inspired nightmare and designed it. Maybe some of its design was inspired by the nearby Remand Centre? The whole pin wheel idea for the apartments is nothing special either and they are so over priced. Especially when you factor in at least a decade of nearby construction at the rate the remaining sites are progressing.

Mate, the painting or cladding has not been done yet. If you look to the top of the building you'll see the temporary supports for the gantries which will raise/lower teams for painting/affixing of aclubond cladding.

It's still a long way from completion.

As I said between now and completion. It is hard to tell exactly what finishes will be applied and as I said hopefully decent ones. Considering the outcome of the revolting Gallery building next door I believe concern is warranted.

Sad to see those ugly windows that have wrecked the Gallery building being placed on the upper floor balconies of this one. I suppose that is to be expected considering the renders (early evening renders don't help) are hardly depicting what is being constructed.

The orange paint, hmmm, definately not sure about that either. I know this one isn't finished but to me it is getting worse every day.

oh dear...

fastly turning into an Eastern European housing commision site. The poor people who have paid for these apartments. I bet the next stages will have far slower sales now they have a finished product to look at.

I went and had a look at one of the Gallery apartments, on the back side of the complex - facing the Precinct construction. It was actually quite nice (although a shade small, being a one bedroom apartment). I think once all the bracing around the remains of the Balfours factory on the corner is removed, and some greenery is added, it will be all ok.

Guys, wait until it's finished for God's sake!!! It's still got a long way to go until it is, exterior treatment wise. 20 Hindmarsh Square looked pretty ordinary until it's paint was added.

Sometimes you can tell a building is going to turn out badly well before it is completed and I think this may be one of those buildings especially considering how the Gallery building has turned out.

I'm not saying there maybe more external improvements between now and completion but I doubt they will save this one. I'll be happy if I'm wrong.

Bright orange cladding has been put up on Northern face. Looks kinda good, will be interesting to see what treatment the rest of the building will get.
