Apparently they will be knocking down the facade once tenants are confined? Knowing us it’ll end up staying
Blank for a few shears and get painted over with a tacky mural.

Shame about the designer brands leaving. ADL I think is a while off being able to facilitate many lux brands. Maybe a LV store but otherwise having them represented in a DJs I think is the only way we will see them there for some time.

What happened with LV on Rundle Mall? The pop up did well but then when they tried for something permanent it flopped?

I think what LV are doing is gauging which shopping precinct is more successful for a permanent store.

They’ve tried Rundle and burnside each. Rundle was extremely popular with customers lining up outside. Burnside I’m unsure.

Sounds like they’ll leave burnside unless they sign a contract soon, and move into the future luxury precinct in ACP/rundle mall.

Sounds like a logical process to decide where is best for them to invest, (and where else better then next to Rolex in Rundle mall).

Ah okay great thanks for explaining that and that makes sense.

Of all the designer brands I see it working the best. Brands come in and out of fashion (no pun intended) but this one stands through all that.

I assume the mural is a temporary measure which will be covered by the LED panels featured in the original render when the tenants eventually go in, but frankly I preferred the blank concrete cliff to this milquetoast offering.

I’m pretty sure top floor of that corner is a docters clinic, the middle floor is JB HI Fi and the bottom floor will be Louis Vuitton if they sign on. So it’s probably gonna be a LV facade if the LV permanent store goes ahead.

I am really looking forward to going there when it is finished.

I think this will be the largest privately owned shopping centre in Australia. Something for SA to be proud of.

The mural appears to be almost complete. I was holding out hope this may still be the background/underpainting for something unique but NOPE, it really does appear that Burnside shoppers and commuters are going to be greeted by a giant monochrome emulation of the 2002 MacOS Jaguar default wallpaper design.

See Rundle is clearly where it’s at. Burnside doesn’t seem to do it for brands.
