I haven't had a look at the specifics of this but I am interested to see how they integrate both the new and old sites.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. It would be nice to see a large open foyer esque area where the two structures meet, with restaurants or bars with balconies looking down at the station facade.

It looks like the lift core for the new building is quite close to the station so we'll see how that goes..

There are lots of curves on this which if done well will look pretty special

It's a bit hard to see but the floor slabs are curved - it should be a very different look, joined up against the heritage casino (station) building

Love the curves, the finished product will look great and bring a whole new hub of activity and interest but can't help but feel it's a lost opportunity in terms of an iconic tower in this space, imagine that building but all the way up to the 120m - 140m mark, to then be complimented by the Walker tower (if and whenever that goes ahead).

Would take focus away from the dated Intercontinental which fronts our postcards, news weather bulletins and even this sites banner image haha
