I dont know how everyone here listens to themselves. None of these "developments" on (or near) North Terrace are any good apart from maybe Realm but still, that only gets a 7/10. In fact the only decent building in development right now is 75-79 KW but that's getting dumbed down as I type this. Tim's photo is a perfect example of the dulling of South Australian Architecture. It's literally like looking at a timeline. But everyone here seems ok with this.
It's like nobody here has left the state. The borders are open to other states people! Seriously, go get some taste.
Especially you rev
Could they be better? Definitely.
However at the same time would the city be better off without them entirely? Ehhhh, almost certainly not.

I'm staying on Level 18 of Crowne. Here's a good chunk of my view.
Our state, our city, our future.

The building..
They are photos of the construction of 269, on the thread about 269 North Terrace.
It would be interesting to see the wide view photos to see whether construction of this building has really "ruined" Crowne Hotel and Adelaidean apartments or if it's just one thing in a much wider view.

To me it's an achievement just to have buildings of this height in this area
I've always said, rightly or wrongly , the real dollars will be saved for an iconic 50 storey closer to the heart of the city.
Got criticised for it but just my opinion.
Agree though they're not the smartest looking buildings and 269 is looking to turn out particularly bad.
The Crowne at least they kept it simple.
269 is like someone felt the need to doodle away. The design is 50 years out of date.

Not sure if this has been posted, but would have never thought that this will have a mass damper in the roof.

The city looks so green and lush.
Further confirms my thought that Adelaidian looks better when it’s overcast.
This looks great though. The impact on the skyline will be ace.

All respect to flight simulator, but that shot makes it look like a Zaha Hadid masterpiece
