It's mostly filled with expensive clothing stores for 50 year old women who still dress like they're 20. It's... scary.

It's funny how Burnside has specific extra wide 4WD parks yet they still can't get between the lines. I like parking my tiny little Laser in there, to annoy them.

I parked my old Pintara so there would still be room for another two cars in the remaining 1 and 1/3 spaces. Surely enough, when I got back two cars were parked there, in complete ignorance of 4WD thing. Gold.

Heres some info on the Burnside Village development
http://www.burnsidevillage.com.au/news.htm

- 1,500sq metres of additional retail space
- multi-level carpark (130 spaces)

new stores include Peter Alexander, Sleepware, ABC Bookstores, Seed and many more...

Not a very big development, but it should look good.

Don't forget the North Adelaide village re-developement. I'd love to know what shops they are putting in there. I have looked at the Makris website who owns the centre and it only has general information.

Has anyone seen the plans for TTP or does anyone know in detail how they're going to do it or any details of any special features etc?

As I've said before I really wish Westfield would take more pride in the appearance of their centres, especially externally. I am only worried that this further extension might just make it even uglier than it already is.

I remember with the last expansion of TTP, the K-Mart/Coles Mall, they didn't post plans up until construction started. I'm sure you could get them off TTG Council if you tried.

Nothing on the TTG council website, or the Westfield site, as far as I can tell.

I thought this one was approved and ready to begin, but still nothing seems to have happened. Anyone got any updates?

Not sure if the cars are an accurate reflection of your standard TTP punter.

They're getting very very good at being vague, that's all I can say. The picture tells you nothing, except that they will probably be building it right out to the road, and because it will be ugly as hell, they will attempt to cover it up with a few very ordinary looking trees.

I wish I could be more positive about it but so far I can see no reason.

Of course it's going to be ugly as hell, it's a shopping centre. A Westfield shopping centre at that.

But as I've said before in another thread, Westfield has proven that they are capable of building some very beautiful, even stunning shopping centres.

So why can't they at least make them look reasonable here in Adelaide?

Westfield should have a good look at Gandel's Elizabeth Shopping Centre before building this...

That looks nothing special at all.
