Why has the title of the thread being changed? The Building is known as Coglin Place not Lot 8.

Actually mate - the tower is called Lot 8, that's how it's being advertised.

That's a crap name for a building, sounds like an agricultural property.

Yeah its a pretty dodgy name, though a company will probably take out naming rights for the building

This coming week, the ACC DAP will approve chnages made to this development:

*Add one additional floor of office accomodation.

*This will result in 7 floors of office accomodation, and 5 floors of residential accomodation

*This will result in a 3m increase in height from 40m to 43m.

*Increase the number of apartments per floor from 3 to 5, resulting in a total of 25 apartments.

*Fit out of every apaprtment and the creation of a roof-top garden

It is intereseting to note that according to the ACC, this building does not achieve one condition of approval, which is to have an interesting roof line. This building will have a boring flat roof line, however such conditions aren't important to the ACC, as the building will nevertheless receive approval.

Sorry but just off the topic, I have been very curious over the last few weeks, of the purpose of a little park just behind this Coglin Pl development. Its on the corner of Wright St and King William St, opposite Crown & Sceptre. Now it doesnt look like a development site, just an awful looking reserve with stunted gum trees. It is so out of place. It looks like a reserve in Smithfield Plains or something. Does anyone know what on earth it is - a park or a development site gone very very wrong?

In order to build the Commonwealth Law Courts, there was a land swap between the Commonwealth and the state. The state used to own the site where the Commonwealth Law Courts stand and the Commonwealth used to own the park you mentioned. There was a land swap, so now the state owns the park, and the Commonwealth owns the site where the Commonwealth law Courts stand. It is proposed to use the park, in the future to build a new supreme court.

Noticed today that above ground construction has commenced on Lot 8. Steel frame has hit level 2 or 3 (I was in a rush). Still no sight of a tower crane not even a base.
