GONE!

Walked past this today on my way to uni and the building is no longer... just a pile of rubble! They are also building a drop barrier over the rest of the street adjoining it so me thinks this new building is going to go up fast. Still no renders on the website, does anyone know where there are renders for this?

this thread has some a few pages back. The design has not changed.

^^ Really? is it that prison style building or the original Travelodge? Please Please not the prison! That looks god awful and Adelaide deserves better.

The travelodge design was for a 8-9 level building, and the building under construction is a 16 level student accomodation complex...so it is obviously the 'remand centre' design.

Worker falls at construction site

A worker has fallen up to 10 metres onto a pile of bricks at a city construction site in Adelaide.

He has been taken to hospital with a spinal injury.

The accident happened at a demolition site in Victoria Street, near North Terrace, this morning as the man was dismantling scaffolding.

He also has a broken arm and lacerations.

Safework SA is investigating the accident.

A MAN was rushed to hospital this morning after he fell at least six metres from a Victoria Square building site.

It is believed the man hit his head on the ground when he landed but was conscious when paramedics arrived.

He was treated at the scene and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.

Just on Octagon, I went to open up their website and it has been deleted. I have been trying to find a render since and can't find anything except for the fuzzy remand centre renders. Does anyone have any clear renders of this project?

Don't know if we already knew this or not but seems it was approved at 15 levels. not sure what height that will make it though.
