The RAAF/DSTO was in a semi-rural area 75 years ago. Now's an impediment to urban development, and the local economy. It creates jobs. But at the expense of business, real estate, and virtually everything else. Perhaps it's time to relocate it somewhere more remote, like Mallala or somewhere.

It's like having something the size of Morphettville bus depot direct adjacent to KW St in the city. It's accessible. But what benefit does it provide to the locals?

If you moved the employment of something like 5000 people to Mallala, we'd need some impressive transport and residential development in that area too! Not to mention the huge boost to the SA economy in rebuilding all of the infrastructure currently in the Edinburgh precinct.

I don't think construction has started on the heavy maintenance facility for the B737-based aircraft. If moving Edinburgh-focused work north, the first step would be to build that on the new site, along with a runway to support it.

Do the drivers enter the non-paying passengers into the BCU? I'm aware of some that don't. And I'd say that at least 15% of folks out there, if not more have never had a valid ticket in their lives.

That feels like an unfair generalisation, especially since we are talking about daily city commuters who have to go through the gates at Adelaide station.

New escalators are being installed at Noarlunga Centre.

1 game, 12 months from now? The strongest business case I've ever seen!

With a quick refresh, some 3000/3100s or hybrids could run there from the CBD - or as a shuttle between Gawler Central and Lyndoch. A temporary station could be constructed.

Isn't the rail lease holder supposed to maintain the line in working condition? If so, it shouldn't be an issue to run a special service.
