Sydney is the city of the rubber stamp, where construction and gambling firms alike are afforded the opportunity to audit themselves and confirm they've done nothing wrong
I thought I heard the first anyone knew of a problem in sydney was when the tunnel workers noticed stuff falling from the ceiling. I think the SA tunnel should never have exposed earth ceiling as it's digging through sediment and being reinforced as it goes.

Bangladesh levels of building standards in this country
we couldn't even build an underpass in this state without the sides caving in at Bedford Park

Its part of the wider project.
Was just on the news. They also revealed the tunnelling machines will arrive next year.

I doubt you've ever been to Bangladesh for comparison.

Hey, let's give abc the benefit of the doubt and opportunity to share what Bangladesh infrastructure he was comparing it to.

So a dogleg is removed, but a new signalised intersection will replace it at Price Street. So there will still be two intersections within 270 metres, plus Furness Ave a short distance south. This might need to go back to the drawing board.

Yes, that was my thinking too. Perhaps the Price St lights could be scrapped until the tunnel is built, and by then South Road traffic may even be such that they are no longer needed?

I'm not sure why they have left it with a roundabout t-junction requiring you to turn right into Raglan Avenue. It would be much better for traffic movement across the network to route Edward St seamlessly into Raglan Avenue.

I believe they're removing the dedicated pedestrian crossing just south of Price Street to integrate it into this new set. So overall, still a reduction of 1 set of lights.

well therell be no more waiting at light at raglan which is faster
i think people trying to cross road from hungrys jacks to north side of raglan will find that corner very dangerous
i guess the design is a 20 years plan for when the tunnels will be underneath and 50 60 % of the traffic wont be there
youd think ultimately castle plaza would love that block of land in the dog leg and extend the whole castle plaza north
personally i dont think the left turn to raglan should be there at all, castle plaza patrons can all go to the round about and wait back up to the lights
does hungry jacks still wanna be there when the tunnels come in? maybe a BP/Hungrys to go on the N/W corner of new raglan/edwards intersection to come
the traffic lights at southern end right turn should go too if theyre gonna put an extra right tun in to castle plaza

has Darlington to Torrens even been approved/funded yet or are we still waiting for that?
I've heard estimates of 10 year construction timeline and this keeps getting shifted out because there's no start in major works, meanwhile the current South Rd situation is choking the west side of town and getting worse.

Sites like Edwardstown are ideal for high density TOD , like Bondi Junction. Sink the train line, build TOD surrounding a new Woodlands Station
