Is that brown finishing the same that we see on the convention centre?

I don't mind it either. The cladding makes it look a lot less drab than I was expecting, and I think the simplied windows help it.

The finishes are looking quite nice but overall this will forever look tacked on.

I believe it matches the southern stand entrance area.

Not sure if this site is new, but it includes further pictures of room views and the rooms themselves.

Drove past today.
It looks really good in person, there is no feeling of tacked on.
Going to be great addition to the Oval.

Oval hotel going to plan despite cladding questions: SMA
Giuseppe Tauriello, The Advertiser
July 3, 2020 10:00pm
The Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority has promised its $42 million Oval Hotel will be delivered on time and on budget despite raising issues about the state of its external facade.
Markings or discolouration have appeared on numerous panels of the copper-based cladding wrapping around the hotel, which remains under construction.
While some metals used in construction are intended to weather over time, the SMA would not confirm if the panels required repair or replacement.
“The exterior panels have been noted with Built Environs, who are doing a fantastic job of delivering this landmark project, and we can’t wait to open in late September,” an SMA spokesman said.
“The Oval Hotel construction process is still under way, with the exterior facade not yet complete.
“Any defective panels will be replaced.
“There’s no impact on the budget or timeline as the work is done as part of the build and at the installer’s expense.”
Built Environs would not comment on the state of the facade, referring all inquiries to the SMA.
The 133-room hotel is 75 per cent complete, and is expected to open on September 25.
The controversial project has created 800 construction jobs and there will be 100 ongoing jobs.

They definitely read Sensational Adelaide, one of the reporters once told me that they get quite a bit of information from here.

Best to see it now before the copper surface fades to a dull dark brown like the south side entrance to the oval/

Is it real copper or faux copper?
If it's real, you would expect to start seeing the southern side start to go a bit green, as it takes about 5-10 years to go from the orange colour to olive green colour.
Fun fact: When the statue of liberty first opened, it was orange!

Visitors will be able to go annually to take pictures and compare who ages better between the building and themselves.
