But to get the balance, at least it's not 3 - 4 families per apartment.
Hmmm... give it time.

If you get a chance, go and look at the southern side of this tower, more multi coloured panels have been attached to the podium levels, looks quite good in my opinion.

I'm not fully up to speed on this development, but are there plans to open cafes or a supermarket or anything like that in the area? Gouger street is still a couple of blocks away and I imagine the people who will be moving into these places enjoy hanging out at cafes and drinking coffee (not that I'm trying to stereotype or anything).

Anyone heard anything about if/when the next tower will be built.

ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CIY SKYLINE

from what I've heard, construction will commence when there are enough tenants to occupy. Which would be hard due to the price

The location of these apartments is a bit dingy.

I'd much rather live on the eastern side of the city like where conservatory is or even
North Adelaide.

i understand what you mean, the CBD is almost 4 subcultures at the moment (NE, SE, SW, NW). Perceptions in the NW corner should improve over time due to the RAH (as CBD domestic & retail construction in that quadrant will most likely follow). Also, more chance of capital appreciation in the west compared to the established east.

From today, the painting and coloured panels are making a huge difference in my opinion. I spoke to a contractor and he told me that all of the precast sections in the "high rise" part of the tower will be painted/clad.

  no I'm very serious. I think it looks great. The cladding is looking a bit like the law court building at Vic Square, which I like. And yes I do have a fetish for commie block buildings
