The bottom row will not have LED projectors, they're just covers for the row above.

Hopefully if it is really successful, they can find a way to make it safe to cover the entire thing....and then also move over to the abomination that is Target...cover that up too.

Maybe it's a better idea to keep Adelaide more of a secret rather than not, that way the rest of the world won't exploit our beauty. :D :D

Finished? Already? That was quick.
Looks bloody good to me. I reckon they'll definetly expand on it at a later date when further money can be allocated to reinstalling the airconditioning system within that carpark, which will be quite expensive.

To be honest I wasn't too keen on this based on the renders and that little test run they did.
But seeing this come together, my opinion has changed. Now I wish this thing was done years ago.

Gents – received a briefing on this today…

There is a considerable amount of work to be done on wiring the LED component still…Council is planning a late October launch and I will advise of the date when I know.

Cheers

Looks far better than I thought in daylight. Definite improvement on that carpark - a real monstrosity compared to the Grand Central also.

i know it's not yet complete, but does anyone know of plans to extend the panels further down Rundle St? Some of the early pictures in this thread had what appears to be a similar structure on the building on the north side of Rundle St. Also there was discussion at some point about having a "canopy" over the entire intersection...

As far as I'm aware, Wayno, those plans were shelved.
