Dwells crane will be moved here later in the week. Must just be the cabin and boom. Surprisingly not a hammerhead.
If that's the case, I'd assume there'll be a second crane for this tower, particularly for the podium.

I thought was odd but is what the developer posted on social media, so will have to wait and see.

I cant see any reason to prefer a hammerhead crane; this site is not close the any flight path.

Ok so I'm confused. Isn't the whole of the CBD supposedly close to flight paths and therefore we have these draconian height restrictions in place?

What are the pros and cons for construction of using different kinds of cranes? I know the hammerhead doesn't reach as high above the building, but what difference does it make to the building process itself?

The building is to the highest point allowable so to build to this point the crane must exceed this and penetrate airspace. Hammerheads do not penetrate the space by anywhere near as much. This is why Kodo and realm have used them.

So what are the disadvantages of hammerhead cranes (or viewed the other way, what are the advantages of other kinds of cranes)? This wouldn't be a discussion if hammerhead was always the best, or even "just as good".

It's site specific - hard to have two hammerheads on one site as the booms would interfere with each other.

Theres a big Kyren sign glowing blue on the crane at night. The crane is huge for a hammerhead. Quite the spectacle.

Update 9/7/3018 Some columns at ground level. PS they have fenced off the site more securely so it makes it difficult to get pictures at the basement level.
