The tower crane has risen and the core box is now at ground level.

Haven't been down there. Below ground level is it going to be plant or car parking or both?

Cheers

Yeah, mainly carparking.

Thank god for that. Better than having one of those hideous 5 - storey "carpark podiums" that many new buildings seem to have. Conservatory on Hindmarsh comes to mind...

It still has above ground car-parking, however it will be hidden from King William Street.

This one is flying along. Level 3 is in the core (two floors exposed), basement poured and work is commencing on the first level. Looks as though they are on a one floor/5 day cycle, so this one will shoot up in no time.

If they're doing 1 floor per week then it would top out by July this year. I don't think it will
go up that quick.

That's definitely the speed the core is cycling with. Wouldn't surprise me if there is a change at points for the core reconfigurations, but a complete height (core, not building bulk) top out by July/Aug. CC1 topped it's 22 floors out at less than one floor per week also.

Ongoing night works - 04/02/2015 - 5:30am

Perhaps a story taller than the previous picture. The building looks a lot taller than it appears in these pics.

This is certainly progressing at pace. The core can be seen from the South Terrace/Unley Road intersection now.

As you can see the second podium level is being poured, and level 5 is now in the core box.

Thanks for the photos guys.

Driving past last Saturday I saw that that hideous carpark behind Vue was finally blocked out of Vue (pun intended). It's been an utter blight on King William Street for far too long. Hallelujah. It took 7 years, but it's definitely worth it.

Agree with Phantom that it looks much bigger and taller in real life than in photos (kind of like the Southern Stand at AO).

Glad this one's going up really fast. Can't wait to see the glass when it's eventually put on.

I like you, Slendy. You often agree with the shit I post. :P

What do you mean about the 7 years thing, by the way? Pardon my ignorance, but what was 7 years ago?

Oh, sorry I wasn't clear enough. I meant that the empty lot + ugly carpark combo was a blight on the streetscape for 7 years, since about 2008 when the buildings in front were demolished for the failed Hills proposal. But it's onwards and upwards now. :D
