Yup, that's a concrete pump. Putzmeister I think. Wouldn't be surprised if there's two of these for this project.

Just looking back on your last post. :D Looks to me like been quite busy, the form work has been removed from around the vertical on the r/h/s, the form work around the area that is facing into the arcade has been removed, the rear deck has dried and they have loaded all the stuff for the next floor on it, there is a good portion of the 2nd floor completed at the front. I'm only guessing as no expert but once the concrete pumps are in the slider would be getting close to moving. "whatstheirname" it might not be too long before you lose your birdseye view and we will all suffer as a result.

may be you could rent the top floor of the Realm :hilarious: I reckon they have only sold 1 of the 2 penthouses - stand to be corrected. It only went for $5.2mil?? so the other one is available, should be a nice view from up there.

I was at the Realm site yesterday day and saw a line of concrete trucks on Pulteney, they were feeding a concrete pump in porters lane and pumping into the core. I would think the slider will move soon. I couldn’t see much from the ground and couldn’t find a way into the student building to get a view. Best I could do was Wilson car park. Photos you can see the concrete pump arm. The other one is just for interest with the Adelaidean crane behind.

Dwell looks disgusting. Poor residents with that view.

When I was looking at the crane, I was unable to see a "climbing" section. Does this mean the crane is already at max height? something over 132m. I could count what looked like 12 sections, including the yellow base section, if each section is 6m then it has a way to go, if each section is 12m then it is probably already at the correct height. does anyone have any ideas?

cheers

PS it doesn't look tall enough but may be I need to crane ( :hilarious: ) my neck a bit more.

This crane would be lucky to be at 25% of its final height! A climbing collar can be added later. It's got a long way to go.

The crane was reported as 69 metres, the tallest freestanding crane of its type in March:
The Advertiser wrote:Builders of the $200 million Realm Adelaide, which will become Adelaide’s second tallest building when complete, have installed a 69m-tall crane on the Austin St site, behind Pulteney Street’s Mansions Apartments.

Realm Adelaide claim the structure, erected over two days, is the tallest freestanding multi-storey crane in Australia, capable of lifting up to 11 tonnes and is expected to being operating after Easter.

Thanks for that guys, only 1/2 the height (approx) of the ultimate building. wow that really helps me picture just how significant and the impact from the street this building will have to the view from North Tce, Pulteney street and the mall.
