We were just discussing it here in the studio. Perhaps the carwash would be at the rear of the building, entering off Woodsons Lane. The Europcar that's currently one of the tenants would likely have some form of car park area around the back. Regardless, still a stupid spot for a carwash.

They do, yes, although I find it hard to believe that a carwash would come close to maximising return on a site like that to justify outlaying money to turn a carpark into a carpark with buckets of water and sponges.

So this is the 'exciting new retail' that is going to open up on the ground floor of the Qantas building?

I guess someone somewhere will think this is exciting. I must say, in the recent comments/talk-back about the water restrictions, I've been struck by how little of the comments are about things like plants and how much are about "at last I can wash the car again".

I cringed out of my skin last night watching 9 news caus that was what the opposition and the news focussed on. "Finally people can wash their cars with a hose and not have to bother with a bucket" said a senior person from the opposition party. OMG what a country we live in
Completely embarrassing to be an Australian when I saw that report

I completely understand the desire of people to want their $40,000 purchase to look shiny.

And they always could, but it seems that they weren't ready to spend $10 at a carwash doing it.

Click on the 'Coming Soon' title. The images appear there.
The first one is definitely interesting; between Grote and Franklin Streets behind the GHD building. Looks like it takes place of the site of the big church building adjecent Eyensbury College.

This land is an open lot carpark at the moment and has recently been closed due to "development".
