Remind me more of bathroom wall tiles. Again - no awnings - should be a policy about this given Adelaide's unpredictable climate and the concept of 'pedestrian friendly'. Will give a lift to that area however.metro wrote:they way they've done those blue pods at the top make it look like it could be the next SAPOL HQ
ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE
Jack.

Slight improvement, but it's still one big ugly box
I would rather see this site remain vacant, until a high-rise proposal with the 'wow' factor is released. This site is huge and deserves something much more better than a cheap box

This site has been sold to the China Australia Property Development Company. the same developers of the upcoming Morphett Street Apartments.
Just another sign Urban Construct is dead.

Indeed, and if I remember correctly, Urban Construct was also invovled with the 9 level Victor Harbor hotel proposal, which is also for sale.Ben wrote: Just another sign Urban Construct is dead.
Regarding this proposal. In a way this is probably a blessing in disguise, as this development was easily the ugliest office development proposed for Adelaide in living memory.

I agree Will.
A couple of years ago, I would've liked for this to have gone ahead purely on the basis of development for development's sake - but I think since Adelaide has found itself in a better position now with the number of construction activity and proposals going around at the moment, we can afford to let go of a few of the bad apples - like this one.

No loss at all re: the Urban Construct office building. That was a shocker.
If I remember correctly China Australia are going to use this as a sales office for their Morphett Street apartment project?
Hopefully they'll propose a decent size apartment building on this site in the future too.

Urban Construct signage was being pulled down today. The carpark is no longer and the inside is being fitted out with walls and being painted.

Yep I have a memory of a fish. It is the sales office for the Morphett Street Apartments. Hopefully this means we will see this project start up soon.
