There may finally be action on the site. The sales centre has appeared to close, and PT Building Services signs have been erected around the ground floor of the building. PT is well known for demolishing buildings, so I guess demolition is not far off now.

Haha I agree, the bit by bit, delicate little way they demolish buildings is annoying. Bring in that crane with the heavy ball donger thing and have some fun. Would be fun to watch aswell

The reason why the old RAA building is being demolished in a slow and delicate manner, is because right next door, there is the historic former YWCA Building built between 1899-1900. The building although appearing structurally sound, is somewhat fragile, especially in its foundations. This is one of the reasons as to why the underground parking component for an earlier version of Conservatory were abandoned.

Can I ask a big favour .. can all the happy snappers of the other CBD developments take their trusty digitals to this site .. am keen to see how this is going, as for me, this is by far the major construction project currently in Adelaide, both in terms of height and location .. it will have a massive (great) impact on that corner. Should look awesome.
Until Spire gets going (???) this is as high as we've got for a while!! Pity CC1 wasn't 41 storey's and not 21!! haha

Was there on the weekend, nothing much (from what we can see on the outside) has happened since the last pic was taken..
of note, there is a display centre for the conservatory apartments in that old building next door (original raa building??)
