Construction update - 7th August 2014

All finished by the end of the year ?

Whether it is finished by the end of the year depends on how quickly the internal fit out is completed. As at 6/9/ 2014 the external structure has reached level 11 with only one more floor to add.

The internal fit out has been completed on the back separate 3 story apartment block already. Electrics and frames have been built on most of the lower floors already also. So one would hope.

How did they get the name Aria? Hopefully it won't be associated with Jodi Arias.

An update, work is now proceeding on the roof level and internal fit out. Picture taken 23 Nov 2014, delayed up loading due to web problems.

The blank walls facing the camera contain lifts and stairs . I not sure what colour they will be painted or rendered or clad. Will have to wait & see. The numbers are the floor levels

The walls facing the camera will be painted and covered with the glass wall/atrium that starts at the 12th floor and meets level 5 of the back section. The side of the building will be white and brown, with the other features being clad with sandstone.

Western wall was getting some treatment today as I drove past. Not sure if it is paint or cladding.

This one has been a real 'sleeper'... very glad that it ended up adding the extra 4 floors or so from the original proposal. Looking at the original plan, it will be interesting to see how the rather large atrium on the southern side looks when it's built.
