No idea. Plenty of activity but given its all internal, hard to tell where they are up to.

Absolutely, glad JO has been so sympathetic to this building.

Heard from an Adelaide Club boffin last night they are against the rooftop bar, and will fight to stop it. Concern about late-night bogan noise interrupting their billiards games...
The Adelaide Club is situated next door. Members are pollies, men with connections & old money, biz tycoons, and gents with slippers, leather elbow patches, and smoke cigars.

Old men, old money, old ideas, out of touch!!
Alas, well connected.
But we can fight back.

So the stodgy Adelaide Club has already had one success - in objecting to the hours of operation of Jamie Oliver's new restaurant licence - the planned opening hours have been reluctantly cut back from 2am to midnight - to stave off potential protracted and costly proceedings.
Now they have set their sights on 'the Roof on 2KW' licence.
It looks like the 'new vibrancy of the city' must not interfere with the amenity of the Adelaide Club members, who are themselves about to carry out multi-million dollar renovations to their exclusive club.
Will the vibe (for the masses) trump the stodge (for the few)? Hmmm

I doubt Goers would be allowed in.
The Adelaide Club is well known as being a place of sin, where dirty old men can go to get their rocks off with a list of approved 'high class' escorts. I have heard some pretty disturbing stories about that place, including of members who enjoy dressing in nappies and hiring these escorts to full fill their sexual fantasies.

Lol, I've been in there for a meeting before. Looked like a bunch of 90 year old men sitting around drooling on themselves. And no jewish folk
Restaurant looks amazing, interior of the building looks reminiscent of the CBA branch in george st, sydney.

I know a new restaurant is not normally a significant development but I had a quick look inside
this evening and was really impressed. The restaurant was full which is not normal for
a monday night and the place has a really nice feel to it.
What does everyone else think ?
There are Jamie Oliver restaurants also in Canberra, Sydney and Perth.
