How much longer do you guys think until it's taller than Optus? Not too long now.
I would suggest another four core rises until it overtakes the Gateway building, and at the current rate of growth I'd suggest by early July it will take the title of the Southern CBD's tallest tower. There was another core rise today in fact.

Still growing, now working on level 11, picture taken 8 June 2015. The floor shape changes at level 8.

The crane should be noticeably taller soon too. I noticed several tower sections had been delivered today.

Crane height increase is happening today. Already obviously taller an hour ago (around 1pm) and they were still going.

The height of the crane was increased today. Extra crane tower sections were delivered yesterday and installed today. Yesterday the drivers cabin was just below the top of the lift core now it is higher than the building next door.

Is this likely the final height of the crane or would there still be a need to go higher?

I'm guessing it will need to go higher. The final height of the tower - based on just a rough guess from the perspectives shown, should be just above the tower cabin. I'm guessing the guy up there needs to be able to see above the corebox at all times.

Considering this tower is nearly 26 meters taller than the gateway building, the crane has to grow much taller.

In Phenom's latest photo, the approximate final height of the tower will be comparable to the top of the second red section of the crane's boom.

That's a pretty cool shot, Norman. Cheers for uploading it.

Not long now until it dwarfs the Optus Building. I think that's a great thing for Adelaide's southern gateway. Now we just need something of similar height across the road from it and we're well on our way to an awesome looking boulevard for King William St.

A little over a year ago, I'd have NEVER thought this proposal would have taken form. I'm always happy to be surprised in this regard, always! :D

Such as waste to allow 2-storey townhouses to built so close to King William Street/Victoria Square.

Nice pic though.

yeah I agree, another waste is on Halifax St (between Hutt & Pulteny) where a fairly sizable piece of land was turned into 2 storey luxurious townhouses a few years ago
