The Bakewell Underpass could have been the Western Front Underpass, as that's where it leads to

Thanks Norman.
God I wish the Transport Department would stop using those street lights, not a fan of them at all.
Will be good if they put a billboard along the bridge, or some kind of signage

I agree, it should say, "Gallipoli Underpass", with the 4 Defence logos they have on the information sign.

They will be putting a "rising sun" I belive on each side of the underpass or something similar to signify Galipoli I heard on the news report at the weekend.

Trust me, it's fairly long. Probably the angles and that make it seem smaller.

They are ugly.

What would you like some elegant works of art as street lights?
I'd think they take into account the fact some yobo will eventually crash into it so why not go for something that works and is practical?
On another note, people living in Westwood would have recently got a letter with a map, regarding the planned non-stop north-south corridor aka from the southern expressway to port river expressway. I've lost mine, they sent two in fact and someone threw them in the bin, so if anyone else has one could you post up a scan? Wasn't too interesting but some people might be interested in what is happening.

No, similar to the modern street lights they have over in Victoria.

Heres a old photo of the Western Ring Road, source -
Hotkey krool
Another example - Citylink
God I wish South Road was similar to Citylink
. We could learn a few things from our cousins interstate.
