Pics from Thursday - they had delayed closing any lanes or footpath on the bridge

Seeing the size of this site today and the fact they are using tower cranes rather than hammerheads. I think there will be three cranes for this project.

Hope you're right. The view driving into the city from Port Rd will be amazing with all the cranes from Conv Centre, SAHMRI, RAH and Adelaide Oval. That's potentially 15 cranes from those projects alone!!

Two hammerheads will cover the whole site from North tce to Festival Drive/Rowing sheds.

That is true but they aren't using hammerhead they are using towers hence my prediction of 3.

Should run a sweepstake to guess exactly what cranes will be used. My money is on 2x electric hammerheads

It is a hammerhead crane mate, electic one.

Two sounds about right to me.

I emailed DPTI re; cranes.

There will be two.
Hi Andrew,
There is another crane to go up hopefully this coming weekend. We were trying to get 2 cranes up over the weekend just gone but bad weather yesterday prevented the second crane going up. So in answer to your question - 2 cranes.

still dont know why they opted for 3 differnt building designs rather than continuing with the same design as current centre, may have not of looked so dissjointed :2cents: and please please relocate those rowing sheds , so outdated and out of place with all these new and modern building designs,my opinion for what its worth lol
