They sure do emphasize girth. Like a fat women wearing a hooped dress...
Wouldn't it have been nice if this building was standing on its short side and had vertical stripes...

Just went past the site today, i recon, it would've been better without the stripes and the glass panels stretching down to the bottom levels but at least the Optus Building isnt alone

Love the first photo Norman, the Optus building creating the ripple on the southern half.

Some info from the AFR P54 under the Property section -
'GREENER PASTURES'
The SA government has leased 3100 sq. metres in a new Adelaide office building. The Dept of Correctional Services will occupy the space at 400 King William St. Nicholas Shinnick of Colliers International brokered the deal. He said the state government was following through on it's commitment to take up green office space.
I gather this bldg is 20000sq m so this should make some difference to the area when the bldg is built. 1 2/2 floors approx of 11. I wonder how many other depts will follow. I have a close friend associated with this dept.(a great sympathiser with S Ad.).

Hello AON House!
I really must make time to see this building in person in daylight hours.

Wow. At a glance, I thought the first photo was a render! I like the look of the clean lines of this building.

Only if you have a tiny monitor/browser window.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

Great idea, one problem though. It's the start of a new clump of office towers on the Southern side of Adelaide city. Shouldn’t developers be focusing on building up the current clump of office towers we already have rather than creating another one. Yeah sure, the Adelaide City Council are being stubborn buggers and knocking back all plans over the 90m mark that are put forward to them but if developers think tactically and do what Makris group did and take their plans straight to the State government they may just get approval. I'd like to see Adelaide's skyline grow higher and higher.

It sure is a big bldg - strong presence. Looking as good as the renders. Would be even better with 379 KWS built.
