The opening as you know will be at around 7:30pm 24th October. The lantern will be switched on by the Lord Mayor at 8pm. As for entertainment there will be a DJ present, the lantern will be sequenced to music, there will be people on stilts for the kids etc, there will be coffee vans to serve us warm refreshing beverage too The council would like to invite everyone from the sensational-adelaide forum down for the celebrations. Hope to see everyone there!

Where are the tuxedo-clad waiters serving hors d'oeuvres and chilled champagne?

I can't , got a 20th and might be going to Port Augusta next weekend.

I can't either - too far away. (drat!) Would be fantastic to see it. Will have to anticipate what you guys put on the site instead.

BTW - the development around that area is fantastic! HSQ could become 'city central'.
