So what are the "outriggers" on that photo for, 1 on the north side/front and the other on the east side/near crane, anyone have thoughts?

Also the balustrade going in already, is this normal? would there be concerns/risk of damage to the posts and glass during the build and "moving stuff"

I'm presuming those forms are for the beginning of the tower proper, and highlights the end of the podium floors and the transition into the new apartment floor plates.

As far as the balustrades go, the rest of the podium facade should be arriving soon. Applying glass/glazing now is certainly not uncommon.

Thanks, so could they be for the rest of the podium facade as you suggested? I have just zoomed in as much as I could on one of the renders and they seem to be in the right place that those bits would support the top portion of the facades. I've included the zoomed shot below.

I note in that render the podium sections facing east and north appear to have windows. The south facing wall of the podium is just blank concrete, so will be interesting to see how they dress this up to fit with the fancy gold corners.

I have just been past the site and had a closer look, the podium is up to the 8th floor so the tower proper will start soon I'm guessing. The south wall, as viewed from Potters lane has no indication they are going to attach anything to it, there is a pattern in the concrete which suggests they might paint it? The west wall is the same except it has crenelation on the top of it which is the back of the swimming pool area.

The 8th floor is as high as the concrete is going, it is apartments from there up. I've attached a photo of the west side view.

Considering the podium isn't complete as yet, this tower is going to dominate the inner northern CBD.

The future entrance - it should look pretty good if the finishes are as good as included in the plans

Core rise and currently active pouring the 10th floor. (In the core that is, not the plate)

Another core rise has happened. Now visible from the southern sidewalk of Rundle Mall. There were concrete trucks in Potters Lane with one backed up to the pump. From the Charles Street Carpark the core mounted pump was active and it looked as if they were pumping the concrete for the 8th floor plate. Also the core rise is clearly visible from this location.

No the podium was completed about mid January and they have been finishing of the parking and the 8th floor which is the end of the concrete, the tower now starts

in the Mall today and the slider has gone up again, the doorways for the 8th floor (top portion only), 9th and 10th floor visible and slider is at the 11th floor.
