Below is a link that has information on where and when the fed's $500m is to be spent.

http://www.nationbuildingprogram.gov.au ... ril_09.pdf

There's no mention of the torrens Road/Port Road/Outer Harbour railway section but $70m is allocated to planning.

There might be some news in next week's budget, but if not, it's still on the cards for the future.

Well done! Thanks for the comprehensive photo update.

Those overhead "Exit" signs seem a little... excessive.

Thanks for the the photos Norman!

Petty though it may be, I have to say, I really detest that style of fencing as used in the underpass median.

I agree the fencing is depressing. What is the reason for that? security?

Probably more to stop jaywalking.

Am I the only one who thinks all the "gardens" around the intersection are wasteful? I can foresee them turning into "shopping trolley pasture" in the future. Who's going to actually use the space?

Why not sell the land back to businesses?

Remember, the signs aren't for the benefit of the locals who already know where everything is. Having driven in several unfamiliar cities, I don't think that I've ever had cause to complain about seeing too much signage :).

Why do the line-markings tell you that you can't turn left, but the AD sign does?

I'm not too sure either, but there are slip lanes to turn left. I think the line markings may only refer to options at the traffic lights.
