I believe you will find it was level 9 that was being poured. Level 8, pool deck and community area with some apartments is hidden behind the crenelations. The form work above that is level 9.

No it was level 8. One of my friends on Facebook is working on this and did a short live video. That’s how I knew they were up to level 8. This was last week though so they are probably doing level 9 now.

Great photos thanks. This is the first time I have seen a photo showing how close Realm is to the Adelaide Uni student apartments on North Terrace... makes the complaints by Samaras about the proposed student tower next to Adelaidean look a bit silly.

There was a great photo from a Real Estate listing a few months ago showing how some apartments balconies would be basically in the lobby.

There was a great photo from a Real Estate listing a few months ago showing how some apartments balconies would be basically in the lobby.

I suspect he meant, in terms of outlook, the Urbanest student apartments built on North Terrace after this was proposed. The mixed-use/carparking podium levels are higher than Mansions apartments (the rear balconies of which were previously internalised in the former arcade) so there won't really be interaction on that face.

Those images I think you will find are the Renaissance Arcade, the lobby is immediately to the west of the facade of Assay House off Austin Street.

I think it is a big improvement for them, and will continue to be so assuming the new development attracts people and the place actually thrives rather than become a ghost town. Below are 2 images taken from Google Maps, one from overhead and the other from Porters Lane. The level one balconies are enclosed in the mesh and perspex? enclosure and not able to be seen. I think that was like a side alley off the Renaissance Arcade - someone will correct me or have photos if my recollection is wrong.

Bugger, I was there earlier and was wondering what that other crane was there for. They had Potters Lane blocked off.

At Realm today and saw these, are they part of the crane and so it can climb?

I might be answering my own question here, but are they part of the boom? and now the podium is finished they don't need as much reach on the boom?
