It turns out that as well as the up side not being able to receive H's there is a clearance problem for Flexitys on the down side of the new Victoria Square platform.
It looks like the platform edge is fairly straight at the Southern end where it should have a gentle curve to follow the rails (too much clearance). Remedial work has started on this side first and I was assured that the H's will continue on their heritage schedule as soon as possible.
That being said, if this is the extent of their problems, the contractors are doing a pretty good job!
I've also heard that the first test tram into King William St will be on September the second (but only as far as the corner of North Tce

The tram will be free from South Terrace to City West replacing the 99B and hence effectively becoming the new Beeline service.

Anyone know whats with the 4 guys who are standing at the new scatter crossings?
They have been there since about Wed last week. One on each corner of the two new crossings.
Surely if they were there for testing it would be enough by now to know they are working

Seems like a waste. Especially for this long.
I would have thought people could figure out the crossings themselves, especially since there is the one at Hungry Jacks already.

There are still people that do not understand the scatter crossing at HJs... on a daily basis I still see people walking in front of traffic and this is 2 1/2 years after they made it a scatter crossing.

A scatter crossing is just where all the traffic stops at an intersection allowing pedestrians to cross in any direction they want.
