There has been a core rise, the "complete view of the top door" is the 11th floor door, the 10th floor scaffolding is mostly complete, still some gaps on the north west corner.

At Realm today and saw these, are they part of the crane and so it can climb?
I might be answering my own question here, but are they part of the boom? and now the podium is finished they don't need as much reach on the boom?
Could they be extensions for the concrete pump tower?

What did the level 1 balconies overlook "before"? Is this actually an improvement?
I think it is a big improvement for them, and will continue to be so assuming the new development attracts people and the place actually thrives rather than become a ghost town. Below are 2 images taken from Google Maps, one from overhead and the other from Porters Lane. The level one balconies are enclosed in the mesh and perspex? enclosure and not able to be seen. I think that was like a side alley off the Renaissance Arcade - someone will correct me or have photos if my recollection is wrong.

It was the arcade itself, but they had a coffee shop and eatery in that part. You still walked through the area though as part of the arcade.

Btw, on a depressing note. Googling 'renaissance arcade' returns pictures like those above and.......... actual pictures of the Renaissance... depressing to compare

I'll try to walk by tomorrow but does it have a metallic/gold look or is it more of a matte yellow?

More yellowy I’d say but it was in shade. Might be different in sun light. I’m worried about the rust on this in a few years time.

If it's made of the correct steel and powder coated, rust won't be an issue.
It's so refreshing to see some creative thought being placed in covering what is essentially a carpark. I've got high hopes for this tower, even the last shot Ben posted shows the complex articulation of the floor plates versus the podium, this is far from a "box."

It's definitely not for the boom. If this was for the boom there would be a mesh walkway. It looks like tower crane pieces plus part of a climbing collar. The concrete pump is raised with piping, not always tower sections like this. Without getting something to compare in regards to size (comparing to the existing crane tower) I can't be certain. Either way now that the complex podium is close to completion the pace is certainly picking up here.

the facade is supposed to be powder coated stainless steel. I was reading somewhere, forgot where, so sorry no reference doco.
sorry my mistake, it said "The gold screens are made from a laser cut steel and anodised"

there has been another core rise, the door gap just under the slider is the 13th floor, so the slider is in position for the pouring of the 14th floor.
- taken from 7th floor target carpark. Slider at 14th floor.

Surely they can add a 4m antenna to make this our tallest. I would be proud to have this as our tallest. Those panels look great.

I believe it is supposed to be Feb/Mar 2020 time frame but if someone else has heard different? Oh and not sure what that means. All apartments? or the lower sections and slowly completing the uppers? (I'm guessing that is what they do).
