Like like like. If the development is boring (and hence destroys the possibilty for similar developments across Adelaide) I shall personally strangle the developers (in fact, hold them under water for quite a while). Until such time, I wish them the very best of luck.

I recieved this e-mail from the developers today:
...
The project is a staged residential development containing three medium rise buildings with
a total of 217 apartments, set in landscaped open grounds in one of Adelaide's premier
suburbs, Gilberton. The first stage of the development will be a seven storey building
aligned with Park Terrace. There will be 21 one bedroom apartments, 44 two bedroom
apartments, 8 three bedroom apartments and 2 penthouses on Level 7 - 75 dwellings in all.
The building will have private lift lobbies with three lifts servicing 75 apartments. All
apartments will have secure basement car parking and separate individual storage cages.
Facilities will include a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, with adjoining gymnasium and
are to be constructed in Stage 2 of the project.
We expect construction of the first stage to start early next year and be completed about 18

Affordable housing and Gilberton don't belong in the same sentence.

At least they're offering a variety of flooplans throughout the development, and arent' just all carbon clones of one another. I like the one with the exceptionally big terrace. Great place to have a party in the summer.

Date set for Gilberton apartment sale
Local News26 Sep 11 @ 08:30am by Lisa Bachmayer
HIGH RISE: An artist's impression of the 45 Park complex.
YET-to-be-built luxury apartments at Gilberton will go on the market next month.
More than 70 apartments will be released for sale off the plan on October 22, as part of a $180 million complex to be built on the former Channel 7 site.
The State Government had changed the height limit last November to allow the 10-storey complex to go ahead.
It was one of the first sites where height limits were increased in line with the State Government’s 30-Year Plan.
For details on how much the apartment will be sold for, pick up your copy of this week’s City North Messenger or read our entire paper online at digitialedition.citynorthmessenger.com.au.</

The display centre for this project has opened on the south end of the site. The rest of the site is still a large excavation zone.
