From Tuesday - the result so far looking OK - might be a bit bland (like recent additions to the Mall) without the roof profile used to retain the tree:

found out some of the retailers that are going in again.

apparently LV & Tiffany may be the only ones going in for now in terms of the high labels, as Stage 4 is when majority of high labels are going in. This is the stage facing Greenhill Rd. As for other labels confirmed, Kirrily Johnston, Thurley, French Connection, Saba, G Star, Calibre, Lisa Ho, Allanah Hill, Sass & Bide, Zara

Wow, some pretty good middle-road international and big local names there. Thanks for passing that on.

Mmm...somewhat disappointing. Oh well, see what happens with later stages and hopefully more buoyant economy.

On page 50 of the Advertiser there is a small classified ad for the retail fitout of Zara at Burnside Village from a Melbourne company.

Top fashion chain for Burnside Village

THE worst-kept secret in retail is finally out now that Burnside Village has confirmed it will be home to international fashion chain Zara.

Housed over two levels and occupying 2,300sq m, the store will also be Australia's largest, outdoing Sydney and Melbourne Zara stores which opened earlier this year.

The Adelaide outlet of the Spanish brand, which will be modelled on its Fifth Avenue, New York, design and feature a glass lift, is expected to attract massive queues when it starts trading on October 20 - the date of the revamped shopping complex's "soft opening".

The $107.5 million Burnside Village re-development, which includes the world's first indoor river red gum, and make-over of the existing centre will be launched with a gala event on November 11.

Interesting that Adelaide's Zara store will be larger than their stores in either Melbourne or Sydney.

Massive coup for the extended/redeveloped Burnside SC.

How is Cibo a new retailer? They already had a stall in the middle of the mall before the redevelopment...

Maybe it's going to be a restaurant like the previous North Adelaide outlet.
