I don't think this one looks as nice as the original SAHMRI, but still pretty decent.
The technology to be housed inside though, is more than exciting

Went past this site yesterday. The site is almost completely cleared, but not much has changed since the last lot of pictures.

Demolition appears complete so no site action until construction starts 2020? Click on picture for bigger.

some large steel trusses & tanks are being lifted into the RAH - looks like water tanks or boilers maybe?
that blue-green instant grass spray was sprayed all over the SAHMRI 2 site last Friday, so I'm guessing that might mean not much will happen for a while

Virus aside, does anyone know why this one's yet to begin or when it's likely? Demo was done a while ago and it's meant to be completed 'by 2022'. You'd think they'd be lucky to make late 2022 even if they started now. Maybe the delay gives credence to the idea that they might add in SA Pathology?

I think there might be some kind of golden shovel sod turning ceremony happening today (probably minus the grinning handshake photo ops though) - the site has been tidied up and there's a camera being set up near an excavator parked in front of a very ceremonial looking pile of dirt.

The Premier announced this morning:
"Development has started on the next stage of South Australia's iconic Health and Biomedical Precinct, supporting up to 1,000 construction jobs over the next three years .
The Australian Bragg Centre, aka 'SAHMRI 2', will house the first proton therapy cancer treatment facility in Australia.
The $500 million 12-storey project will be complete in late 2023, with the first patients to be treated there approximately 18 months later.
It's estimated as many as 600-700 patients will be able to be treated at the facility each year – with around half of these expected to be children and young adults"
