Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
Super tacky. Can tell it was done by a bikie I mean 25 year old tradie... Can't see it lasting in Normal circumstances however I imagine he needs this to run at a loss for tax reasons...

Soulless and tacky. As expected.
Even if this was in Vegas I wouldn't give it 6 months.

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
Biggest problem with Bars like this in Adelaide is that they attract the wrong crowd, too many "heads" end up deterring the general folk.
Same thing happened to Heaven, Apple, HQ etc.
I give it 12 months.

Supermild will be reopening on June 3 at 73a Hindley Street (immediately west of the Hotel Chancellor). Not sure whether it will be on ground or upper level, or both... Either way, it will be great to see a classier venue open along this strip.

The old supermild was hardly a classy venue. Good news though, Hindley street is going from strength to strength.Patrick_27 wrote:Supermild will be reopening on June 3 at 73a Hindley Street (immediately west of the Hotel Chancellor). It was classy because it wasn't 'classy'. That's the secret to being classy.ghs wrote:The old supermild was hardly a classy venue. Good news though, Hindley street is going from strength to strength.

Unless of course you're trying to be ironically un-classy, in which case you're being a try hard...Llessur2002 wrote:It was classy because it wasn't 'classy'. Ground floor and basement, with a view to opening the upper level at a later date.Patrick_27 wrote:Supermild will be reopening on June 3 at 73a Hindley Street (immediately west of the Hotel Chancellor). Apple Nightclub closed it's doors last month to make way for a new club "Haçienda"
The nightclub is undergoing a major facelift and will open on June 4th.

Not sure if its a gay bar as such but the owner is the same as "Mary's Poppin'" the gay bar upstairs and they will be holding gay nights as well.Nathan wrote:That can't seriously be calling it Haçienda can they?crawf wrote:Apple Nightclub closed it's doors last month to make way for a new club "Haçienda"

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
1) The Propoganda club is opening on Friday Week (the 10th June) :

2) I also noticed work being done on Waymouth street where the Marble bar used to be so we should
see a new bar there also soon.
3) The Pearl night club on Waymouth appears to have closed down, just 6 months after opening. Just goes to show how volatile the night club
industry is.

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
As ghs posted last Thursday, The Propaganda Club opens tomorrow from 11.30AM. For those of you wondering what has been going on with the old bar/pokies room located beneath the Grenfell Street side of the Regent Arcade, this will be what's replacing it. Great use of the space if you ask me!
