Yes I agree, the render didn't give any indication of having brown from what I saw. I prefer the render by far compared to the real thing. The render looked very glassy and light

The finishing touches will make or break the 'Brown' of this building.
Fingers crossed...

I keep having this daydream that the developer is just playing a trick on us..... and that the brown is just some kind of glass protection to be peeled off for the last minute reveal.
Well, we can dream.

The brown is good it turns to gold in the sunset.

I had not noticed until yesterday, that this building actually changes shape as it rises.
In the attached Photograph look at the areas with full windows ie the areas where there are no balconies. The window pattern changes up from the 8 th floor (start of windows) to about floor 19.

I love how this can be seen from most locations around Adelaide.

Despite the brownness, I like it. Although they could have gone with the silver in the render, or a more copper shade of brown.

I'm going against the grain and saying I like the colour! It provides a welcome change and contrast from the usual blue or green glass with grey or white walls.

I agree, as I've said above it'll age the building nicely. There are a couple of gothic inspired buildings in Melbourne's skyline that have a similar shade of brown in their design and it works really well.

Great angle Shano696, really conveys the size of the building.

Thank you! I have a much higher resolution image but it seems to have downsampled it. I'll upload again from my computer when I get home.

Great photo. And to think none of those buildings, except Optus, existed just 10 years ago.
That same view in ten years time - should see the Brecknock Hotel site developed, the Berlin Wall and Vietnamese restaurant corner site developed, the 4 buildings on associated with the developer behind the Trims Site twin apartment towers proposal and new hotel and the other smaller apartment building. Exciting times ahead.
