Care to elaborate?
Given that "Getting to and from the Airport, Ease of Access" is just one of at least 39 factors covered by the questionnaire, it would seem highly unlikely that this alone is responsible for Adelaide's poor result. And of course that's also assuming that the majority don't like the new carpark and pick-up/drop-off arrangements, which I'm far from convinced is the case (noisy minority and all that).
It's = it is; its = everything else.
You're = you are; your = belongs to.
Than = comparative ("bigger than"); then = next.

Quite true about there being only one directly relevant criteria. But what else has changed in the last year at ADL to explain the downgrade? Nothing. Maybe, there are new airports or other airports in its peer group that have got better. Either way, ADL has gone backwards badly after many millions have just been spent on it - hardly a good result or what one would expect.
My specific criticisms can be seen further back in this thread. They are only my personal opinions, but I stand by them. I could list many more annoyances with ADL as well, but the arrival/departure thing is just inexcusable, and given my job requires me to travel through international airports on a weekly basis, I reckon I've got a pretty good basis to form that opinion compared to the silent majority who wouldn't know any better.

Actually started in November 1982 (info from a close friend who has kept track of this kind of stuff). Almost all of the Qantas wide body aircraft have operated on QF81/82 over the years 747-200B, 747-300, 747-400, 747-400ER, 767-200 and 300, A330-200, A330-300.
The last QF82 service will arrive from Singapore at 0630 Sunday morning and depart to Sydney at 0800. That will mark the end of 29 years of Qantas International services out of Adelaide (For now!!!)

Thanks for the correction Stefan. Either way it is still sad to see the demise of this route after many thousands of people flew it in QF colours over the years.
As you say, hopefully this is only a temporary pause.

For the first month of 2013, a total of 598,874 passed through ADL compared to 581,221 last year, an increase of 3.03%.
While Perth had an increase of 7.07% in it's first month.

AirAsia X to Adelaide
KUALA Lumpur based low-cost carrier AirAsia X is understood to be considering launch services to the South Australia capital. TD sources indicate the long haul offshoot of AirAsia is mulling a four times weekly operation to Adelaide, with flights debuting as soon as early Oct 2013. AAX currently flies to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Gold Coast.

No, but I'd be very surprised if they went ahead with them. The ACCC's approval of the WF-EK partnership obliged them to not cut capacity on the routes between the eastern states and NZ, even though capacity currently exceeds demand. Providing direct flights from Adelaide would discourage Adelaide passengers from flying via Sydney or Melbourne, making those flights even harder to fill, so starting such a service wouldn't be in Qantas's financial interest.

Yes, but as stated in the original report the EK flights from DXB-SYD-AKL/CHC would now be counted as a qantas flight, thus freeing up Qantas to use the Emirates flights to replace their normal services.

From the
April 2013 newsletter:
Adelaide Airport Ltd (AAL) has unsuccessfully sought the re-establishment of an Adelaide-Auckland service by Qantas in a submission to the Australian competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Draft determination to grant authorisation to an alliance between Qantas and Emirates, AAL said the re-establishment of the Auckland service would be of significant benefit for tourism, business and trade between South Australia and New Zealand. It would also introduce both competition and a premium product on the route. The ACCC has since approved the alliance, requiring Qantas and Emirates to maintain capacity on the four major city pairs currently flown. As a result, people wishing to fly with Qantas from Adelaide to New Zealand must travel via Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. This accounts for more than half the total traffic between SA and New Zealand.
