Dare I get my hopes up and presume they're finally repairing these stairs?

There was also extra funding for new escalators, not sure if they are going here or just further up on the next level.

Next level up, from the plaza between Dunstan Playhouse and Casino down to the promenade and station entry. Andy's photo for context:

In ChillyPhilly's image, which I have cropped, you can see how annoying mirrored glass reflections can be to guests in the Intercontinental. Another good reason why the Hyatt development in Pirie Street should not have mirrored or highly reflective glass.

In a previous image taken by AndyWelsh you can see the reflecions on the roof and side of the Dunstan Playhouse. I just wonder how much SkyCity will reflect (heat) onto the plaza below. Anyone able to get images of that?

Cheers

When did they go back to Skycity from Adelaide Casino? I thought they'd dropped the branding.

Also, really hope the Intercon is planning to do something to better orient itself toward the riverbank (and redevelop its dead forecourt).

FFS what an awful mess those steps, landscaping and water feature are. The high quality finish of the casino is really showing this up now. Also the Intercontinental. How hard would it be to clad the concrete service shafts in copper or something similar!

Agreed, but they would be fine if ACC/State Government could set in stone the maintenance responsibilities.

Yeah the water feature looks awful, but it seems like it's part of the stoush where the state government built it and wanted the ACC to take on responsibility for the costs to upkeep? Seems like a stand off where no-one wants to establish precedent of being responsible for it.
