But geograpical factors work against it: there are no direct roads from the north, so everyone either has to go through Port Noarlunga to reach Dyson Road or head south to reach South Road. This sort of geographical isolation can turn suburbs into ghettos.
However, if the entire suburb is within walking distance of a train station, that all changes. The railway will directly serve may of the major destinations and connect with buses to the rest. And with journey times scarcely longer than the Glenelg Tram, the trains will be a very attractive option. Thanks to the trains, the suburb will not be isolated.
