They took the expensive solution this time. Rather then adjust the lifeguard, they have removed about a metre or two of the median strip. They have already began marking out to a new alignment to suit the H class and should be done in a week or so (at a guess).

H Types 367 & 351 made the run safely to City-West and back. Clearances measurements were made along the way and they shunted into both sides of City-West.
Bill
Here they are outside Adelaide railway station, headed west
Entering the single track section near Morphett St bridge
In the City-West terminus
In King William St on the way home. Success !

Love those pics BillD. I saw this tram on the way home and thought that they might have been doing some more testing. Should have followed it along the track.

I had a feeling that you would have been on site for this Bill, thanks greatly for the shots. If I had found out on Railpage even half an hour earlier then I did, I would have been there. Once I again, I thankyou greatly.
The reason why the single track section exists is to provide a turning lane to the Convention Centre and also to provide a crossover before the terminus. It was originally thought that the single track section was because of bridge clearances and the track currently goes under the highest part of the bridge.
