Owner's Centro who purchased Arndale shopping center from Westfield earlier on, is proposing a major redevelopment of the complex.
What i hear is that, the current auction house across the road from big w will be demolished and big-w will be relocated to there. What used to be Big W will be a food court, and there is a possibility of a second level.
Over the last few months, they've been doing a few touch-ups on the northern half of the centre, including new windows, plantation around the carparking areas, new signage. More recently the underground car park has been getting a new coat of paint, so it looks almost certain new owners Centro are hoping this proposal will be approved.

Project Details: The redevelopment of Centro Arndale will provide an additional 10,000 sqm of gross lettable area. Additions to the centre will include Fresh Life, Diners Life, a new and expanded Woolworths Supermarket, 30 to 40 new specialty shops, a complete refurbishment of existing malls and improved car parking. The redevelopment will provide 120-150 retail jobs on completion.
