Or Mt Barker/Regional SA
I think its good that shops are closed on Christmas & Boxing Day, gives retail workers a nice break.

Re: Merry Christmas all!!!
I think it's because Boxing Day is a semi-public holiday, while we have Proclamation Day, a full public holiday.
Re: Merry Christmas all!!!
Proclamation Day has not been a public holiday for some years now Norman. The public holiday got moved to Boxing Day to be in line with the rest of the country. We still celebrate Proclamation Day here on the 28th, but it's not a public holiday anymore.Norman wrote:I think it's because Boxing Day is a semi-public holiday, while we have Proclamation Day, a full public holiday.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy & Safe New Year - I missed this thread before, or I would have wished you all earlier.
cheers,
