Port River bridges - Diver Derrick Petition

Why is everyone against the Mary Mackillop bridge but there is not much (if any) opposition to the Power bridge?

One should be the Mary Mackillop bridge and the other the Tom Derrick bridge. Even as a Power supporter i find naming a bridge after a football team down right stupid.

What are you on about mate? The entire Port Adelaide&Enfield city council area should be re-done in the image of the greatest football team in history, Port Adelaide. 36 premierships baby! I'm sure we can find enough greats in those 36 teams to rename half of Adelaide, let alone the Port/Enfield area.
