U2 have announced there 360 tour and Adelaide is not included. A facebook group has been setup
in an attempt to get them to Adelaide. They came here in 2006 so its a bit disappointing that they won't be
coming this time.

The dates which they've announced are spread out - there's nearly a 1 week gap between each show, I would say
that this is because it takes a long time to setup the claw.
The concert which they have in Melbourne is at Etihad which must only be able to hold 55,000. Surely they will
add another show in Melbourne and hopefully we'll get one here in Adelaide.
U2 360 not coming to Adelaide
Re: U2 360 not coming to Adelaide
I think last time they skipped Perth for Adelaide, this time it's the other way around. Not 100% sure though
Re: U2 360 not coming to Adelaide
This is only one of an increasing number of acts/artists/groups etc. bypassing Adelaide in recent times. Is it anti-Adelaide snobbery or bias from the Promoters? We have economical venues (Praise to ACDC and Pink for their tours) and demand.ghs wrote:

I consistently support acts, concerts, festivals etc in Adelaide but I refuse to buy tickets and travel to Melbourne if the promoters snub (bypass) Adelaide on a 'national tour' (every mainland capital city except ours).
Do we need better venues, a bigger population, less anti-Adelaide bias from promoters or? We need to get our city back on the national tour dates.

Re: U2 360 not coming to Adelaide
Actually, I've found that recently I've been pleasantly surprised at some of the acts that are coming here, that I was expecting to skip Adelaide. But maybe we're just looking at different bands - I couldn't give a rats arse about anyone that would fill Adelaide Oval.veemur wrote:This is only one of an increasing number of acts/artists/groups etc. bypassing Adelaide in recent times. What Im stunned about is how this band is still around. They would almost all be grandfathers by now
I remember them playing at Football Park a few years ago. There were thousands of people listening outside the stadium

Well in terms of metalcore acts
Attack Attack! are coming to Adelaide and skipping Perth
and Oh Sleeper! are coming to Adelaide and skipping Brisbane
So something must be going right here

The emotion of losing $100 is greater than the emotion of winning $100.
I feel the reaction to U2 not coming to Adelaide can be explained by the same concept.

Re: U2 360 not coming to Adelaide
That's correct, if you look at there last few times they've been to Australia they've alternated between Adelaide andcrawf wrote:I think last time they skipped Perth for Adelaide, this time it's the other way around. Not 100% sure though
Perth as follows :
2010 Perth
2006 Adelaide
1998 Perth
1993 Adelaide
So they will probably come here next time they tour
